This Peking Chinese rug was handwoven in Eastern China and dates from around the middle of the last century. Peking rugs were created for the British market and the palette was utilized to emulate the look of blue and white Chinese porcelain which was extremely popular in the West. In good condition with only minor signs of ware. Very finely knotted with approximately 320 knots / inch.
