Hanging Diya oil lamp from the South of India. A Diya lamp is used with a wick that is part submerged in a small pool of lamp oil. These types of lamps are often found in Hindu temples and are generally used on special occasions.
This lamp was one of several brought back from India by a British dignitary at the end of the Raj.
