Beautiful Malaysian golok knife with carved bird shape handle. With a sheath carved from mahogany. Appears quite old, from the first half of the last century or older.
The design of this golok / machete is similar to that of a Malaysian Kris dagger but is heavier and used as a machete or cleaver rather than a dagger. I believe that this is a style of golok associated with the state of Perak.
