The body decorated overall with repeating bands of hand embossed motifs depicting elephant, deer, goat and tigers interspersed by bands of foliage. Engraved, incised and hammered with fine Arabic Islamic calligraphy. The diameter at the shoulder measures 15", the diameter at the mouth measures 11.5". The unpolished exterior exhibiting an old patina as well as a few minor indentations consistent with its age and intended use.
